One if by Land, Two if by Sea!    April 18, 1775, church sexton, Robert Newman, climbed the steeple and held high two lanterns.  This lantern is very similar to that lantern hung so long ago.  Measures 16 1/2 inches tall by 6.  Comes complete with a candle that was used in the Old North!
